Holiday Difference Calculator
Which public holidays fall between two dates?
Paste your holiday dates and see which fall inside the span, how many working days they actually cost, and which land on a day you were not working anyway.
How this is worked out
- Dates are read as YYYY-MM-DD, which is unambiguous everywhere — a slash date would need us to guess which half is the month.
- Anything after the date on a line is treated as a label, so you can paste “2024-12-25 Christmas” straight from a calendar.
Questions people ask
The things that come up about holiday difference calculators, answered plainly.
Why does a holiday sometimes cost nothing?
Because it fell on a day you were not working. A holiday on a rest day gives you no extra time off, so it is listed separately rather than counted — which is also why a year with badly placed holidays genuinely gives you fewer days off.
What about regional or company holidays?
Add them the same way. Because the list is yours, it can hold whatever actually closes your workplace — national days, regional ones, a company shutdown week, or the days your own contract gives you.
