- The seconds total is the number people usually want for a milestone — a billion seconds is about 31 years and eight months.

How is age worked out?
By walking the calendar, not by dividing. You turn a year older on the date your birthday falls, so someone born on 30 June is 24 on 29 June and 25 on the 30th — regardless of how many days those years contained.
What about a 29 February birthday?
In a common year the anniversary resolves to 1 March, which is the convention most legal systems follow. Your true birthday still only comes round every four years, and the page counts those separately.
Does the time of day matter?
Only if you enter one. Give a birth time and the age is exact to the second; give a date alone and it is measured from midnight in your selected zone.
