Why does my time card total differ from the clock's?
Rounding, nearly always. A clock set to quarter-hour rounding turns a 09:07 punch into 09:00 and a 09:08 into 09:15, and over a week that adds up. Set the same rule here and the totals should agree.
Can I use a 12-hour clock?
Yes — 9am, 5:30pm and 0930 are all read correctly, as is a bare 930.
