What does 1700000000 convert to?
14 November 2023 at 22:13:20 UTC. Paste it in and the page gives the same instant in your own zone, which is where most confusion about a timestamp comes from.
Why does my timestamp show 1970?
Because it is small — a value near zero is a few seconds or days after the epoch. That usually means an uninitialised field, or a millisecond value that has been divided by 1000 twice.
